Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The 22-bedTelemetry unit cares for general medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including pneumonia, ESRD, stroke, CHF and chest pain.

The RN applies the nursing process from assessment through evaluation, ensuring patient safety and adherence to policies. Requirements include a Kentucky RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS within 6 months, NIHSS within 3 months, and successful completion of department

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure or temporary Kentucky work permit.
• BLS certification required; ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of department nurse competency grid.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care following the nursing process.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Delegates nursing activities and supervises care.
