Job summary

UnityPoint Health, St. Luke's in Sioux City, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7pm–7am night shift on our 5A Medical unit. You will use evidence-based nursing processes—from assessment through evaluation—to tailor care plans for each patient while building trusting relationships with patients and families.

You’ll participate in multidisciplinary rounds, mentor teammates, and uphold safety and quality standards. A valid Iowa RN license and ACLS are required within the stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited nursing program.
• Must possess a valid nursing license for the state of Iowa.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire, unless exempted by role.

Responsibilities

• Delegates nursing care activities and monitors care with the care team in accordance with patient needs and qualifications.
• Mentors staff and students, collaborating across teams to improve quality and care outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with policies, safety goals, infection prevention, and risk management.
