The role involves 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, with day or night schedules and rotating weekends/holidays. Applicants should have completed an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred and Nurse Residency for new grads.

Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts

Schedule: Days 7am-7pm or Nights 7pm-7am, rotating weekends and holidays

The RN is responsible for coordinating the care of patients and families that they care for utilizing the nursing process, and the skills that are part of their functions as a registered nurse. Summary of duties include: utilizing nursing knowledge for critical thinking, planning of care, evaluating response to care and planning for the needs of the patient and family.

Education:

Experience:

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid Nursing License with authorization to work in Iowa required
• Basic Certified Life Support certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months from date of hire required.
• Must obtain NIHSS education within 90 days of hire and maintain every two years thereafter.
• Completion of six hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually required.
• Specialty certification is preferred.
