Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels, a full-service 94-bed facility, seeks an experienced RN for night shift. The role emphasizes nursing care using the nursing process, patient assessment, and education for patients and families.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of related experience, and active RN licensure in Texas with BLS; ACLS preferred. Orientation and competency validations are provided within the program. Schedule is 7PM–7AM, full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required; BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
