Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for a population-specific patient group. The RN will collaborate with the care team, teach patients, manage time and resources, and administer medications. Reports to the Director/Nurse Manager and may supervise LPN/LNA staff.

Required BSN preferred, NH RN licensure, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience. Comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• One year prior clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Bases nursing actions by applying principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgment/decisions.
• Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data to plan and implement interventions.
• Develops, evaluates and revises patient's plan of care and nursing actions.
• Documents care provided and patient’s progress toward outcomes.
• Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
• Teaches the patient about the plan of care.
• Prepares patients to manage their care after discharge or procedures.
• Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
• Administers medications to patients.
• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads the health care team.
• Serves as a Resource Person for assigned shift.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
