Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time telemetry unit. The role supports a 45-bed unit with a nurse/patient ratio of 5-6, providing comprehensive care to medically complex patients.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while coordinating with the care team and maintaining precise documentation.

Qualifications

ASN in Nursing or equivalent required.
Current Florida RN license or multi-state license.
BLS certification required; six months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs including physiological, psychological, and social factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care activities in the medical record.
