Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, NJ. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and use bar-scanning and electronic documentation for safe medication administration.

You will participate in ongoing education, ensure patient-centered care, and support safe discharge planning. A NJ nursing license and BLS/CPR are required, with BSN progression encouraged within 3

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years of med/surg telemetry nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based research and standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health-care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations in electronic systems.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge patients with safe transition and continuum of care.
