Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit. You will apply the nursing process and collaborate with physicians to respond to changes in patient condition, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family teaching, and guiding other nursing staff. A BSN is preferred, with required BLS/ACLS certifications and basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certification by hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice in Telemetry Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
