Job summary

McLaren seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the 3 S Telemetry department, delivering quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team to maintain professional standards. The role directs, coordinates and delegates activities to support patient/family centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, planning and implementing care, evaluating responses, ensuring a safe environment, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent, valid at least 60 days beyond start date.
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for CCL, PACU, ENDO, IR, ICU, ED, CDU, CSS, CSU, Ambulatory Surgery, and the Step-Down Unit.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
