Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on a Telemetry unit. The role includes basic patient care tasks, equipment handling, and collaboration with registered nurses to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Candidates should hold a current CNA and BLS, have strong communication skills, and be prepared for a fast-paced environment with opportunities to expand into telemetry duties and health unit coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, and comfort measures.
• Report and document patient care findings promptly and notify changes in condition.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a patient care attendant on the unit.
• Transport medications from the delivery system to the RN as needed.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May act as health unit coordinator, answering phones, transcribing orders, and managing unit records.
