Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for weekend telemetry, part-time nights. The role supports nursing care, monitors patients, and assists with daily activities in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Under RN supervision, you will take vital signs, assist with bathing and feeding, report changes to staff, and help maintain clean, orderly rooms. A high school diploma and CPR-BLS are required; CNA/CMA/EMT credentials or nursing student rotations are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing student with one clinical rotation or CNA/CMA/EMT certification.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and glucose.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and feeding.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Manages unit workflow in coordination with the charge RN.
