Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Medical Telemetry Unit at The Jewish Hospital to provide direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional, following federal, state, and local regulations and the organization’s policies.

The role focuses on bedside care, accurate vital signs, documentation, mobility assistance, and collaboration with the care team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care or similar setting preferred.
• Must have licensing/certification pathway as listed (STNA/CNA or nursing aide training).
• EPIC EHR training or exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN guidance and organization policies.
• Liaises between patient and nurse; reports changes/concerns.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
• Assists with mobility and daily living activities.
• Participates in hand-offs and report of information upon arrival and departure.
