Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's Allegheny General Hospital seeks an experienced RN for the 5A Telemetry Observation Unit, full time, 72 hours every two weeks, with rotating weekends and holidays. The unit cares for chest pain, TIAs, trauma, and other acute conditions, bridging ED and inpatient care.

The role requires PA RN licensure or multi-state eNLC, CPR, and passing background checks. You will lead patient care planning, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families,

Qualifications

• PA RN licensure required or active eNLC licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain required clearances (Act 34/33/73).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages activities of patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
