Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, is seeking a registered nurse for the 5A Telemetry Observation Unit at Allegheny General Hospital. The unit focuses on rapid assessment and monitoring for chest pain, TIAs, and trauma, serving as a CDU/Observation unit bridging ED and inpatient care.

You will be responsible for patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing education to patients and families with sensitivity to age and culture.

Qualifications

• RN license required (PA) or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficient in clinical assessment and care planning for acute medical patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on the nursing process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for care plan from admission through discharge.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to age and culture.
