Job summary

Crusoe is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the telemetry agent team that collects metrics and logs from hosts and GPUs across the Crusoe Cloud. You will manage 4–6 engineers, guide delivery against a year-end milestone, and shape the next generation of the agent while hiring as you deliver.

The role emphasizes people-first leadership, hands-on technical depth in Go/Rust/C++, and collaboration with product and infrastructure teams to expand telemetry capabilities across new hardware

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on engineering experience in systems software (Go/Rust/C++).
• 2+ years directly managing software engineers.
• Experience coaching senior and staff engineers and partnering with a strong tech lead.
• Track record of shipping multi-phase projects against fixed deadlines.
• Strong communication and cross-functional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Grow and develop the team: manage 4–6 engineers directly with 1:1s and career growth.
• Own delivery: plan, sequence, and de-risk a multi-phase release with a fixed finish line.
• Set the technical direction and partner with the tech lead.
• Maintain a high operational bar for the telemetry agent on every node.
• Own on-call rotation and fleet health of the agent.
• Coordinate across teams and hardware launch windows for releases.
• Collaborate with recruiting to source and onboard strong candidates.
• Work with product and infrastructure teams to align priorities.
