Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the telemetry agent team that collects metrics and logs from host hardware across the Crusoe fleet. You will manage 4–6 engineers, guide delivery, and shape the technical direction while partnering with product and infrastructure teams.

You will hire, mentor, and grow the team, ensuring rollout safety and reliability across nodes, with a focus on observability and future hardware platforms.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in systems software (host agents, telemetry collectors or daemons).
  • 2+ years managing software engineers directly with a fixed roadmap and deadlines.
  • Experience coaching senior and staff engineers and collaborating with a strong tech lead.
  • Track record of delivering multi-phase projects against fixed deadlines and honest delivery calls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 4–6 engineers directly, including 1:1s, career growth, performance, and team health.
  • Plan, sequence, and de-risk multi-phase releases with a fixed finish line.
  • Define technical direction and collaborate with the tech lead.
  • Maintain high operational standards for the telemetry agent on every node.
  • Oversee on-call rotations and fleet health across deployments.
  • Coordinate across teams for releases and hardware launch windows.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new engineers to grow the team.
  • Collaborate with product and leadership to align priorities on observability products.
