Job summary
Mercy Springfield is offering a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. Graduates participate in the program along with selected experienced nurses based on development needs.
Nurses work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends; full-time and part-time options are available. New grad sign-on bonuses apply to night shifts, with education assistance and relocation support for eligible staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; standing and walking throughout shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
- Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
