Northwest Medical Center in Tucson is seeking an RN Charge to oversee the Telemetry unit during night shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care while supervising nursing staff and coordinating with healthcare teams.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, AZ or compact licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Strong leadership, communication and infection control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state).
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Oversees nursing and support staff, delegating tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides coaching to maintain high standards of care.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and adjusts plans as needed.
• Coordinates patient care with other healthcare professionals to optimize flow and delivery.
• Ensures clear communication among physicians, patients, families and hospital departments, including shift handoffs.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments and resource utilization within the unit.
• Performs rounding to evaluate care delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Maintains adherence to safety, infection control and hospital policies; addresses non-compliance.
• Participates in quality improvement and audits to enhance outcomes and compliance.
• Maintains supplies and promotes cost-effective resource management.
• Leads ongoing education and training for nursing staff.
• Responds to unit emergencies with leadership and direct care as needed.
• Performs other duties; maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
