Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking an RN Charge for the Telemetry unit on a day shift. The role oversees nursing staff, coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures compliance with hospital policies while maintaining a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience and holds RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible experienced RNs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to maintain high standards of care.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care per care plans.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve flow or delivery issues.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families and hospital departments; manages handoffs and unit huddles.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization within the unit.
• Conducts rounding to evaluate care delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Ensures adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards; addresses non-compliance.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and audits to improve outcomes.
• Manages supplies and ensures cost-effective resource usage; supports ongoing staff education.
