Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Unit Clerk Monitor Technician for the Telemetry Unit to support patient care by continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and communicating with the nursing team. You will manage unit communications, process orders, and maintain documentation to promote patient safety in a fast-paced setting.

Strong attention to detail and effective communication are essential as you triage tele services and coordinate daily unit operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Unit Clerk course or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and identify abnormalities.
• Inform RN of variances in a timely manner.
• Provide shift reports to staff as requested.
• Complete documentation per standards.
• Process orders accurately and promptly.
• Answer phone calls and call lights professionally.
