Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Tech to join our per diem nursing support team in Encino, CA. The role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms via direct monitors and supporting the unit with indirect patient care duties under RN supervision.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire, and a current BLS. Healthcare experience as a Monitor Technician is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and compiles records in Med/ Surg/ Telemetry. Assists nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as allowed.
