Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
• Current BLS certificate at hire and maintained.
• Six months healthcare or Monitor Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE/EMR.
• Verify that lab and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as not distracting from monitoring duties.
