The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024.

· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of healthcare services including emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Telemetry Tech responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring telemetry, interpreting rhythms, and following the chain of command for reporting any abnormalities.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Accurately interprets rhythm, rate, and morphology of strips.
• Enters patient data into the cardiac monitoring system, ensuring the location of the patient and monitor coincide.
• Prepares and maintains patient records from admission to discharge, documenting rhythm strips at predetermined intervals and with each rhythm change.
• Communicates changes in cardiac rhythm, rate, or morphology promptly to the primary care nurse and/or charge nurse.
• Recognizes the need for and initiates Rapid Response / Code Blue timely and accurately.

The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent upon hire.
• Completion of Telemetry Education/Competency within 30 days of hire date.
