The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa

AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year. It is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular care, and the Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, advancing clinical and academic research.

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms displayed on the monitor screen of the telemetry console, and for identifying and reporting cardiac arrhythmias/dysrhythmias.

• Communicates with courtesy and expediency with internal and external customers, in person or on the phone.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in managing patient flow, communicating with bed placement and nursing supervisors/CV Coordinators about telemetry or system issues.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice when ordering supplies and staffing adjustments.
• Performs supportive unit tasks such as EKGs and lead placement as assigned.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
