The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa

AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based, not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital in Tampa, Florida, specializing in cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. It hosts GME programs in general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year. It is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute and the Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, leading in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and clinical research in neuroscience, cancer, and more.

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms on the telemetry console and for identifying and reporting cardiac arrhythmias/dysrhythmias.

• Communicates courteously and promptly with internal and external customers, in person or by phone.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in managing patient flow, communicating system or telemetry issues to bed placement and nursing supervisors/CV Coordinators.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and practice impact when ordering supplies and staffing adjustments.
• Performs unit tasks supportive of patient care and department operations, including EKGs and lead placement.

Qualifications

• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
