Responsibilities include recording rhythm strips, alerting staff to rhythm changes, and ensuring monitoring equipment is properly configured and maintained during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Telemetry or EKG interpretation course completed during orientation.
• 0–2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets telemetry, recording rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and notifies licensed staff promptly.
• Maintains communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leadership to coordinate care.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment and escalates as directed.
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during shifts and ensures proper configuration for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensures correct lead placement and electrode application for optimal monitoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
