Qualifications

• Must complete EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background as LPN, Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and ensure timely responses to alarms.
• Interpret EKGs: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTc, ST segment and rhythm.
• Verify rhythm interpretations with RN.
• Maintain accurate EKG strip interpretations.
