Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
• Monitor tech or EMS experience preferred.
• Proof of participation in an EKG monitoring course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe telemetry monitors and promptly report arrhythmias.
• Maintain logs and ensure 12-hour strips are printed and filed.
• Support nursing staff and communicate patient status clearly.
• Perform telemetry duties and prep units for patient use.
• Collaborate with health care team and participate in improvement initiatives.
• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards.
