Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period required.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets patient telemetry monitors, recording rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and notifies nurses or licensed personnel promptly.
• Maintains effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for care coordination.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment, escalating problems as directed.
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during shifts and ensures proper configuration for admissions/transfers/discharges.
