Job summary

Chino Valley Medical Center is seeking a part-time Monitor Tech to monitor cardiac rhythms, transcribe orders when needed, and assist the nursing staff with indirect patient care within CNA scope as applicable. The role supports Med/Surg and Telemetry units and requires current certification and basic healthcare experience.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a current dysrhythmia interpretation certificate within 30 days, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors and meets the communication needs of the department.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and compiles records in Med/ Surg/ Telemetry and orders supplies for the unit.
