Job summary

Chino Valley Medical Center is seeking a part-time Monitor Tech to support the telemetry unit. This role involves watching cardiac rhythms, transcribing orders when needed, and ensuring tests are properly ordered and logged.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, current dysrhythmia interpretation certificate, and a current BLS card. Healthcare experience is preferred, with potential CNA-level support under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current dysrhythmia interpretation certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• Six months healthcare or Monitor Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR documentation.
• Verify that lab and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Prepare and compile records in Med/Surg/Telemetry.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care as long as it does not distract from dysrhythmia monitoring.
