Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe telemetry, document findings, and promptly notify nursing staff of abnormalities. The role requires basic computer skills and effective communication with patients and team members.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and may have prior Monitor Technician experience or completion of AdventHealth training. The position offers day-shift hours and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Monitor Technician experience or completion of AdventHealth training program.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Observe monitors, document normal and abnormal EKG patterns, notify nursing staff of changes.
• Maintain monitor alarms per policy and ensure alarms are audible each shift.
• Document in the telemetry logbook and support quality standards and initiatives.
• Assist with routine tasks to ensure smooth department operation.
