Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare patient care experience, with at least 6 months as a monitor technician or completion of a training program.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient rhythms and alarms on telemetry units.
• Print rhythm strips and maintain accurate date/time on strips.
• Provide daily printings of rhythm strips for patient records.
• Maintain alarm settings for each patient and troubleshoot monitor equipment.
• Communicate patient status changes to nursing staff and Clinical Coordinator.
• Assist with orientation and cross-training of new personnel on the unit.
• Perform general clerical duties and manage unit supplies.
• Answer phones and call lights; schedule appointments as needed.
