Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to provide continuous cardiac rhythm surveillance for adult patients. The role follows established procedures for rhythm observation and accurate documentation to support positive patient outcomes.

• BLS required.
• EKG/dysrhythmia course completed within first 2 weeks of hire; must pass dysrhythmia test.
• Secretarial/clerical experience with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adult telemetry patients and document observations.

• Coordinate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure patient safety.

Description

The Telemetry Monitor Technician provides accurate cardiac rhythm surveillance through continuous monitoring of adult telemetry patients. Follows a standard procedure for rhythm observation and documentation which contributes to positive patient outcomes for cardiac monitored patients.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (36 hours per week)

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Listing as a CNA in North Carolina or previous monitor technician experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• Successful completion of an approved EKG/dysrythmia course within the first 2 weeks of hire; must pass dysrhythmia test.

• Must posses excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
