Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. This full-time day shift (7a-7p) requires weekend and holiday coverage, with opportunities to grow through nursing education and leadership roles.

The 22-bed Telemetry unit supports a 1:5 RN: patient ratio and 1 PCT for every 10-11 patients. BSN is preferred; RN license required; BCLS prior to independent patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or nursing diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN license/registration in good standing required or upon hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans care.
• Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates outcomes.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and settings.
