Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse for a 24-hour work week on the 34401 Atrium Health Union West unit (Nursing: Medical/Surgical). The 36-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit provides care for adults with varied medical and surgical needs, including cardiac monitoring.

Shifts are 7p–7a, 2 per week, on a fast-paced unit. Qualified candidates will have a BSN, active RN license, and BLS certification, with typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN with current license in the state of practice; BLS required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience typical.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and standard hospital software.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Maintain safety culture and accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications per protocol and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
