Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse for a part-time role on a 24-hour-per-week schedule at Navicent Health Medical Center’s Medical/Surgical IU 8 Main. The nurse will provide comprehensive patient care, perform assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a 35-bed unit with telemetry.

You will work to ensure quality care, participate in process improvements, and maintain full compliance with safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in good standing with privileges to practice in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Monitor patients and adjust care plans; collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain safety culture and ensure accurate documentation in EHR.
• Possibly float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
