Job summary

Advocate Health’s 36-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit is seeking an experienced RN to deliver comprehensive adult care, including cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, participating in governance and quality initiatives, and ensuring safety and evidence-based practice while documenting thoroughly in the EHR and coordinating with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and coordinate care during float shifts.
