Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry in an acute care hospital setting. The role supports PRN, part-time, or full-time schedules to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for adults with acute and chronic conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• 1+ year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Acute Care/Rehabilitation nursing experience (preferred).
• EMR/EHR experience (preferred).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms, reporting significant changes promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency interventions when necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, rehabilitation goals, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Promote patient safety by adhering to infection prevention, fall prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care conferences.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate responsibilities to LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Support a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
