Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour work week on a fast-paced Medical Telemetry unit. Shifts are 3 x 12 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with weekends and holidays on a flexible schedule.

We deliver care to patients with acute cardiac and neurological conditions, emphasizing safety and evidence-based practice. Qualified candidates have an RN license, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in quality initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patients and adjust care plans; collaborate with the care team.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Possibly float to other units as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate, safe patient care.
