Job summary

Advocate Health's Union Cardiac Telemetry Unit seeks an experienced RN to provide patient‑centered care for acute cardiovascular conditions. You will apply the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and document thoroughly in the EHR to support safe, high‑quality outcomes.

You will monitor patients, adjust care plans, participate in quality initiatives, and uphold ANA ethics in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Licensed to practice in the state where the client is located for telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and adheres to ethical practice.
• Administers medications and therapies as per protocols when needed.
• Maintains timely EHR documentation and effective communication with the team.
• Represents professional development and maintains required certifications.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates age-specific patient care and growth/development considerations.
