Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach seeks an experienced registered nurse for Telemetry/Med-Surg roles in Neuro/Ortho care. The position requires strong assessment skills, safe medication administration, and rapid response to deteriorating patients within the unit's care framework.

The ideal candidate holds FL RN licensure with ACLS/BLS, prior telemetry experience, and a collaborative, patient‑center approach to discharge planning and education.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications required.
• Experience in telemetry, med-surg, neuro/ortho units preferred.
• Ability to interpret EKGs and provide ACLS care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial vital signs and intake assessment with patient/family.
• Care for telemetry patients with neuro/ortho conditions per unit plan.
• Administer medications and IV therapies within policy; document outcomes.
• Monitor unstable patients, escalate promptly, and update care plan daily.
• Collaborate with physicians, coordinate discharge planning and education.
