Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach is seeking a Telemetry Technician to support continuous patient monitoring. You will manage shift reports, answer calls, and ensure accurate patient identification while maintaining telemetry equipment and patient safety.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of EKG rhythm training.
• Must have 2 years experience as an EKG technician or certified EKG technician.

Responsibilities

• Gives/accepts shift report with accurate patient information at each shift change.
• Answers unit telephones, patient call lights, and visitor inquiries professionally.
• Maintains neat, clean work area and proper disposal of monitor batteries.
• Operates telemetry, ensures alarms and screens are monitored and reports changes to the charge nurse.
• Identifies patients and rooms correctly on strips and coordinates with Biomedical Engineering for equipment repairs.
• Assists in orientation of new staff and participates in ongoing education.
