Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the 7 South Medical Telemetry unit. This full-time day shift role supports patient care and collaborates with the nursing team.

You will complete basic patient care tasks, monitor patient conditions, stock supplies, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Valid CNA certification and NC registry registration are required; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Current registration with the NC Division of Facility Services.
• BLS - American Heart Association certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orientation to the unit, hospital routine and equipment.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting to the appropriate person.
• Assist with implementing the nursing plan of care and delegated tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve patient care items.
• Keep the patient environment clean and well-stocked.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Engage in education and Performance Improvement activities.
