Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for LTACH Medical Telemetry on nights. You will perform basic patient care, monitor patients, and report changes to the care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, implementing the nursing care plan, maintaining a clean, safe environment, and supporting patient throughput and safety. A CNA II certification and NC CNA registry are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant II certification required.
• Current NC Nursing Assistant Registry/Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orient to unit and care routines.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting to the appropriate person.
• Assist with implementation of the nursing care plan by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve items for patient care as needed.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean patient environment and participate in cost containment.
• Participate in educational and Performance Improvement activities.
• May perform skills such as phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, and waived labs per unit competency.
• Support patient throughput and HIP initiatives with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.
