Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the nights shift (7:00pm–7:30am, 12-hour shifts) to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN in charge. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, Illinois CNA certification, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications, plus BLS within 30 days.

Knowledge of Medical Terminology and at least six months in acute care are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Illinois certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days and current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Six months of acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care under the direction of the RN.
• Maintains a safe environment for all patients and staff.
