Job summary

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Medical Surgical team on a 60-bed unit with telemetry-enabled rooms. The full-time day shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Weekend rotations are required, with a $1/hour weekend differential and an 18% night differential when applicable. The role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate data collection, and documentation in electronic records, supporting a patient-centered care plan and collaboration with licensed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA licensure in AZ required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and care.
• Record vital signs and data, and report changes to licensed staff.
• Document care in the medical records and relay information to the care team.
• Maintain unit supplies and assist with equipment and charting during shifts.
• Support receptionist/clerical tasks to ensure smooth unit operations.
