Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Nursing Assistant / PCT to support RN-driven patient care on a day shift. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily goals, and help maintain safe, compassionate care across telemetry patients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and a nursing assistant/PCT program. Training, teamwork and attention to safety are essential in this full-time role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical or vocational program preferred.
• Basic computer and English literacy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect.
• Assist care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
• Provide quality patient care including hygiene, safety, and nutrition needs.
• Report patient status changes promptly to the RN.
• Demonstrate clinical safety practices for patients and staff.
• Communicate hazards or errors to the healthcare team.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, nutrition, hygiene, and weights; report findings.
• Maintain telemetry supplies and ensure equipment is accounted for each shift.
• Assist in training nursing staff, volunteers, students and other personnel.
• Monitor and document patient cardiac rhythm; notify RN of life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Keep EKG records and ensure telemetry patients are connected to central monitor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
