Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Nursing Assistant/PCT to support the care team with delegated tasks under an RN’s direction. You will provide patient-centered care, monitor vitals, and assist with telemetry management to promote safe, compassionate treatment.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing training to support daily patient and family goals in a full-time Day shift environment.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with safe delegated patient care tasks under direct supervision of an RN.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect in collaboration with team.
• Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
• Documents vital signs, input/output, nutrition and hygiene.
• Reports patient status changes to RN promptly.
• Maintains telemetry supplies and telemetry equipment.
• Trains other staff and volunteers.
• Monitors cardiac rhythm and notifies RN of arrhythmias.
