Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, FL is hiring a Nursing Assistant/PCT for full-time night shift to support the care team in telemetry units. You will assist with safe delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision, provide respectful, person-centered care, and help achieve daily patient and family goals.

The role requires High School diploma, completion of a PCT or CNA program, BLS certification, and preferred telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical/vocational school preferred.
• Graduate of a nursing assistant or PCT program.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• BLS and CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/ PCT-C/EMT certifications preferred or required as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with safe delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and teamwork.
• Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
• Delivers quality patient care including comfort, hygiene, skin care, safety, transport, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Reports patient status changes to RN promptly.
• Maintains telemetry supplies and ensures patient telemetry readiness.
• Assists in training other nursing support staff and volunteers.
• Monitors cardiac rhythm and notifies RN of life-threatening changes.
• Documents vitals, intake/output, nutrition, and hygiene and reports findings to RN.
